Header and motor mount modification

When I installed the TBird rack unit it lowered the steering shaft angle to the point that I had to modify the left motor mount and header for clearence. I also rasied the engine up 2 inches for the same reasons. I modified the two center header tubes and the shaft now has about 1.5" clearence from the header. Modifing the tubes wasn't as hard as you would have thought. Its basicly the same as taking on a body panel thats round. Take your time and as soon as the weld globs on stop and grind it off and start over. When I modified the left mount I used some 6" pipe for the curved part and just fabed it to fit.
